NEXT MEETING
Tuesday the 11th of January 2000 at 7.30PM

KOONDOOLA COMMUNITY HALL - BURBRIDGE AVENUE

        REPORT FROM THE CHAIR

  Well here we are again and by now most people in Koondoola will know the results of the Wanneroo City Council elections.  First in the poll was Judy Hughes with 24% of the vote.  She will represent you until May 2003.  I polled 20% and will represent you until May 2001.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and confidence.  It is a new start for the City and the new councillors feel they have something to prove [they are not like the ones in Wanneroo inc.]  At this stage it looks like we finally have a cohesive council which will work well together.  Only time will tell.

By the time you read this the council will have voted on the Koondoola road development.  The staff of Technical Services are now recommending the roundabout go where we [K.R.A.T.A.G.] wanted it to go.

The submission for the bus route has been submitted.  I intend to follow up by asking to head a delegation to Brett Inchley.

All the best for 2000 and let's look forward to good things for Koondoola.

Alan Blencowe.

~~~~~Residents Working Together For Koondoola~~~~~
WE THANK SENATOR GRAHAM EDWARDS MP Member for Cowan FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE TO GET OUR LETTER OUT, WHICH INCIDENTALLY IS GOING INTO THE ARCHIVES AT CITY OF WANNEROO | JOONDALUP LIBRARY FROM NOW ON.
Here we go again, having to juggle the meeting dates, but don't fret, after next Tuesday the New City of Wanneroo Council will vote on their nights to hold the meetings, after which we shall be in the position to make our decision for the rest of this year.
While talking about the new council, congratulations to Alan Blencowe, and all the Koondoola residents, for making him your choice, to represent us.  I am sure he will not let you down.  Also cheers to our new Mayor Jon Kelly, who expressed his thanks to all of you for the support given.
~~~~~~~~~~

Welcome to all new members, we are building strength with each one of you, and only in this  manner can we achieve more things for Koondoola.

All residents and tenants are most welcome to come and join, put your point of view across, to come up with new ideas, or any constructive criticism.  So lets see you at our next meetings.

I think there is another BIG, BIG congratulations, to Joe Potter, who is going to make us all proud, he has been chosen as The Olympic Torch Bearer, on the 7th July 2000, [Balcatta] the 30th leg of the 100 legs around Australia.....

So when you see Joe running around [While doing his letter-box drops] don't run him over, as he is training for the Big Event.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have been looking at the prospects of a Web Page for our group and Koondoola, hopeful we will have all our schools link up, at the moment two of them have agreed but will need a bit of help, and we'll do that, then we would like to see something like a Trademan's Page, which we will make very reasonably priced, with the moneys going towards our operational costs and improving our groups operation and hoping to put Koondoola on a much more positive note not only in City of Wanneroo but much broader spread, and much, much more.
Anyone who would like to, or has anything to offer in relation to this, please ring 9247 2776, we would like to hear from you.
New Year Resolutions
We all want to do some good things for Koondoola in the new year and of course we can't do them all at once so when you come to the meeting, bring all your ideas for a wish list and we will prioritise them together and tackle them when we get time.
Remember Rome [Koondoola] wasn't built in a day.
