NEXT MEETING

Tuesday the 3RD of OCTOBER at 7.30PM

KOONDOOLA COMMUNITY HALL - BURBRIDGE AVENUE

FROM THE HOT SEAT

FROM WHERE I SIT

All impounded dogs (in C.O.W.) will now be held at the new RSPCA head-quarters in Malaga.

In the last 6 months 10 rangers have issued a total of 2,963 service requests  (53 in the South Ward in June). Rubbish truck drivers will be reporting on a weekly basis any future infringements such as littering and abandoned wrecks on verges.

Please ring and tell me who stripped a white Datsun 200B and towed it to Shelvock Park with a green car. It was later soaked with accellerant and set on fire.

We had a resident when recently asked by rangers who said the wreck on his verge was not his and must have been abandoned by someone else. What do you think?

A ranger’s roster is about to be established to attend to School parking problems.

Bus Stops in front of the shops have moved to the top of Hollingsworth by persons unknown.  The Council have put them back.  We have asked for a shelter and our chances of getting it are good.

The shelter in Marangaroo Dve has been moved to the correct side of the road after 15 years.  Thanks to those who suggested it.

The Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade is looking for new members.  They attended 154 incidents in the last season.  I’m game and I’ve joined, are you?

Remember KRATAG is only effective if YOU join and have your say .

Council has budgeted for: footpaths in Meredith east, Koondoola ave, Burbridge which they finished 4 years ago (let’s lobby to get other work done), resurfacing of Mirrabooka Ave and Marangaroo Dve, new playground equipment for Burbridge Kindergarten, refurbishment of Koondoola Ave, park redevelopment and others totalling about $1,460,000 in Koondoola and about another million in Girrawheen.

The Beautiful Garden Competition is about to happen again so get your nominations in to the New North office by Friday 20th of October.  Ring 9343 4388 for information.

Alan Blencowe      Chairman.
