This is a Special treat for you all I wrote this for my niece who became engaged recently but it seemed appropriate for the month with Valentine’s Day in it…


Engagement


Much is in the preparation of a new love
Hearts come closer like a swooping dove
So many happenings to join and meet
Before we hear the pitter patters of tiny feet


Journeys long comes suddenly here
Pride shining is aglow steps shows no fear
A couple you are about to make
Now must not be the time to hesitate


Grasp each other in firm affection
Both heading straight the right direction
Moments tender moments dear
Kaleidoscopically feel very near


Just as we all would like to bless
Clans rejoice in your happiness
Your coming union not far away
Foresight the coming the nuptial day


Spread wings of joy out far and wide
Proclaim the news over countryside
These dear ones to us all are set
Bill and Kristen we are glad you met


Invest in your future salute we must
Solid on the foundations of your trust
Surround and affect us with a show
Always your love now can overflow


All around the cheer and comfort sew
A sign Cupid that has struck with his bow
A heartfelt casting of joined spirit true
And so we celebrate your love with you
