The New Year brings a freshening cleanse
Takes off the veil and reveals the lens
Of new beginnings from ends gone past
That awaits us surely it is bound to last
And so brave advance we must
Have strength and courage in god we trust
Let no one deter the ways of peace
Give life and loving a whole new lease
Blessed be those you reach out to and stretch
Returns will come you see we need not fetch
That spreading of spirit an extra mile is all it takes
Faith then holds strong and lasting it never shakes
Bound for the future we are all aboard
Kaleidoscopic rollercoaster journey stored
Forge ahead and build new blocks
Undo where possible all the locks
Plant the seed for generations they do succumb
It will all add up when the time is for a sum
But flagstones left with precious care
Will leave the right signs for them to dare
Warm hearted sentiment spread far and wide
Will help them all to make new plans decide
For futures later to come and leave behind
A heritage that no one better would be proud to find
So it is all my dear friends
A New Year wish is around the bend
Oh no in fact it is already here
Let’s all yell out and give great cheer!

Is happiness that will always come true
