Life in the 2000's...
Hummmm!! Interesting Title you say well yes it is but I am sitting here wondering how do you say that exactly, like you know you would say life in the 1960's 1970's 1990's. Do you say life in the Twenty Hundreds or life in the Two Thousands. Something to ponder on Tho. Anyway you know it is not too far away.
The other day I was reading a Computer Magazine which had a article about the Microwave Oven of the Future OOOP's can not really call it a microwave oven but the article said that a house person will be able to open the door put dinner in to cook then shut the door and either surf the net using the same touch controls or do some online grocery shopping or do some banking or even just watch tv remembering now this is all going to be in the door of the microwave oven as I understand it not sure how ya see what is happening to the food inside humm!! Supposedly will be launched for retail in or around the year 2000 selling for around $1500.00 US another one to ponder !!
This is of course if we all manage somehow to survive the dreaded Y2K syndrome let alone the affects of it ha ha!!. Another article I read said something to the effect that Y2K had frightened the heck out of the Boffins in the Know but was not really going to be as bad as what they thought after thinking about it, but they still needed a way to get the message across to the people all the way down through the ranks and of course the answer to that is to scare the hell out of people, which they have been trying do to ever since. Now this is not to say that we need not be concerned of course and check things out, but the average person that sits at home using there computer just to do basic stuff, that is not too date sensitive, they do not really need to panic!!
Consequently considering all the Predicted Plagues, General Disasters, Probable Wars, Even the coming of the Almighty [Depending on what ya believe] and Just the sheer weight of Normal Living I really do not think that the 2000's will be very much different from the Day to Day Whirlwind of Life's activities that we have upon us now!!. So folks not to worry maybe we will be just that much more advanced than we are now, may be life might just be a touch easier or maybe even we might just be living on the moon, but I guess what I am trying to say here is it will be no more frightening or strange than what our Ancestors have lived through these past 1000 Years . Remembering that they probably called them the Ten Hundreds or the One Thousands !! ROFL HA HA HA!!
