  A sense of place of belonging is often established by favourite things an identification with what we find comfortable. I guess it contributes to keeping order in our lives and in the world. Highlights can be part of our favourite things and to reminisce about them by putting them in hard copy also helps to create that safe zone and area where we feel warm comfy at home...

Man's Best Friend...


 I trained him like all my shepherds I have had , but he would always fail the test of temperament, which is where your dog must sit beside you and allow a stranger to run both hands from the top of his neck down thru to his tail without looking around or becoming agitated. Well Bar from this small floor in his own character he was just one of the best judges of the human character that you could come across. I can assure you this is the truth from my own experiences that I could and always did feel extremely secure with this dog in any situation .



To illustrate I could go to sleep anywhere with this dog by my side and other than killing the dog there was no way in the world anyone would get anywhere near me without me knowing about. In fact I have found all of my Shepherds to be this way in varying degrees and also to be a very good judge of the homo sapien character in general. Quite often they will tell you, although you must learn to read the signals of course, a threat of danger, wether someone is of a unsavoury character, mean dishonest and many other helpful things.




I have currently another Shepherd called of all things Jack who is a most beautiful dog, who I am sure would guard young Caetlan my youngest, at just four months with his life and I guess I say all of these things to reinforce the point of the article Man's Best Friend. I apologise that this is not a article on dogs in general as Man's Best Friend but rather my experiences with my dogs as Man's Best Friend, I am sure you will forgive me this small indiscretion.




 I would say that Dogs of All Breeds Shapes and Sizes, have been Humans Best Friend since I would presume Man first came into contact with and Domesticated them by in my opinion an exchange of food, shelter and love [both ways] in return for the early warning of danger of any kind, protection and companionship. So perhaps you might have an opinion or even some interesting stories to tell about your Best Friend, Man's Best Friend the Dog, Humble or Arrogant as they might be Proud, Genuine, Attentitive, Affectionate, Loyal and so many more such wonderful terms as we have to promote the Accolades of Man's Best Friend.
