Reflection on Life...
Place oneself back somewhat to the time of our inner youth and we can see in reflection the demise of idealistic exuberance that we held so utmost in our young minds. Faded by the years extolling in a slow decaying way surely eradicating our ability to live as the youth of today still does with a feeling that they and we were indestructible.
The very sense that we could achieve anything, overcome every obstacle laid in our path, reach in fact monumental goals that we would not even dream of today in our older wiser state of age and wisdom. Cautious to the extreme, beaten down by the laws and rule that surround us every single minute of everyday, the bombardment of continual day to day tasks and problems that overwhelm our very being. No wonder is it then that we struggle to survive with any sense of dignity as we strive to maintain a small place in the world, a place where we have left our mark, against the odds.
Yet we often do overcome these tragedies of modern existence some of us from the very depths of despair and isolation, from loneliness, from hardship even from abuse, hunger, depravity and many other such human inadequacies as befall us all at some time. So here we sit stifled by life and its complications, but there is hope to pinch an expression light at the end of the tunnel, a sense of reasoning that gives justice to our lives. Want me to name a few, if you have children is that not one of the wonders of the world, if you have just once during your life helped someone to carry on or even to go that extra mile or maybe you have just held a child when they are in need, a love one that has reached out.
These are some of the things that let us see some commonsense understanding of our plight that warms our heart that keeps the coal fires burning. Takes us away from the head in the sand syndrome giving values to build with and continue even when it most likely seems there is no point. Precisely though if we think about it that is the point that we do if we look hard enough find reasons even might I say little hints in life that allow us to continue onwards towards a better future. As insurmountable as they seem at the time a moment of reflection is often all we need to get us back on track.
