Highlights can be part of our favourite things and to reminisce about them by putting them in hard copy also helps to create that safe zone and area where we feel warm comfy at home...

Reminiscent Pleasure

I saw a happening so fantastic I felt the need to describe it.

You see I was looking out the window into my front yard and my gaze happened upon a long thin green object pointing straight to the sky.

As my eyes slowly followed the fibrous look upwards towards the top a color change took place right before me into a luminous yellow with a blend of gold on the outer edges of what seemed like shaped and curved pieces of cloth yet they each appeared joined where the green met the yellow.

What could this be my senses were asking as a hammer like sensation jolted my brain into action searching out the answer to return to the eyes for clarification.

Well now as I sat and watched those yellow, gold blended shapes were moving, expanding and leaning over almost like when you peel a banana skin back and it droops down, again my senses reeled in amazement.

Like titillating the palate does for the taste so too this was tantalizing the sight. While all this was taking place, being that the window I was sitting next to was open, I thought for just a moment that I could smell something a slight fragrance seemed to permeating the air under my nose not forceful but just little wisps drifting making my nose twitch with anticipation at every waft.

The pulsating signals in my brain were now at fever pitch as information rushed back and forth to bring all this to a glorious climax of feeling.

Just when I thought I could take in no more I notice out of the corner of my eye as I softly opened them that little droplets of water were appearing on the high points of this magnificent occurrence right on the crest of the bent over shapes.

Before me this crowning of miracles surpassed my expectations as the rays of the sun setting on the droplets caused them to fire like diamonds.

Well you can imagine my elation as I turned my thought back to my brewing cup of tea and took a first sip breathing in the reminiscent pleasure that had just erupted through my senses.

Have you ever thought of the opening of a flower in such a way?
